The Neuroscience-Inspired Cognitive Enhancement group aims to nurture talents with the ability to understand the operating mechanisms of various cognitions through a convergence methodology, understand related social and industrial problems, and creatively and convergently seek breakthroughs in solving problems based on this ability.

The project group is comprised of professors majoring in a variety of fields in life sciences, from molecular and cell biology to environmental ecology, and has the great advantage of being able to conduct a wide range of collaborative and interdisciplinary research across fields. Based on this, we aim to “nurture global leaders in the pan-life science field who actively challenge new questions and solve difficult problems through innovative and creative convergence research and revitalization of competitive educational programs”.

The BK Frontier Physics Division has been participating in Phase 1 of the Brain Korea project, and 45 professors from Faculty of Physics and Astronomy, about 300 graduate students, and about 10 emerging researchers are participating. Our project group aims to foster world-class talents for the future with global research sense and insight by raising the quality of research through establishing a student-centered system for education and research that can facilitate creative and interdisciplinary research.
